I am a big fan of this site and I love the interview section. All interviews have been great. But I must say (I apologize if anyone gets offended) that this interview is really bad. His answers were too generic and they did not add any value. I was looking forward to this interview because finance is something that interests me but this was a total let down. (I am not criticizing the interviewer.. am just talking about his answers).

Bill’s comments were general, I agree but I think it is because he was asked general questions about a very diverse industry. Maybe if the questions required more specific binary responses you would have got more concise answers. Capital Markets is not black and white and as such, I am not sure Bill had much choice in how he answered the questions

what did you want from the guy??? everyone wants answers or someone else to figure out everything for them. it's exactly why he said you walk down the road and make your own choices based on your experiences. YOU need to figure out what's best for your career. if you are interested in accounting get your CA. if you are interested in executive management get your MBA.
